September is Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month

You may know that September is Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month. But did you know that Ovarian Cancer is the #5 cause of cancer-related deaths in women? According to the American Cancer Society, 1 in 75 women will develop Ovarian Cancer in her lifetime.

At Fabulously Flawless we are strong advocates for spreading awareness about Ovarian Cancer, and passionate about the health and well-being of women. We have had the honor of meeting many cancer survivors, and we have seen first hand the devastating effects it can have on their mind, body, and spirit.

We have also had the honor of being able to make these women feel whole and beautiful again when they struggle with hair loss from Chemotherapy and scars from surgery.

Whether we help women to feel beautiful again by creating eyebrows, providing them with hair follicle replication for thinning hair, or scar camouflage and skin repigmentation procedures to help erase scars with from surgery, we love being able to give women and their confidence back through these enhancements.

In our effort to support Ovarian Cancer awareness, research, and education Fabulously Flawless will be donating 25% of our proceeds from all hair follicle replication, eyebrow creation, scar camo, and skin repigmentation procedures to the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund Alliance during the month of September. Contact us today to make your appointment.

OVARIAN CANCER FACTS

Ovarian cancer is the deadliest of all gynecologic cancers and the eleventh most common cancer among women. There is no early detection test for ovarian cancer, and its symptoms can be subtle, leading many women to be diagnosed at later stages of the disease when survival rates are poor. This year approximately 22,000 women in the United States will be diagnosed with ovarian cancer, and more than 14,000 women will die from the disease. This problem is not going away: as the American population ages, the incidence of ovarian cancer is expected to double by 2050. Help spread the word about Ovarian Cancer. What you pass on might save your life or someone else you know.

Non-Surgical Hair Restoration Treatment That Really Works

Your hair is an important part of who you are, and losing it can feel like you are losing a small part of yourself. Hair loss is not just a visible concern; it affects us on a much deeper level. It doesn’t matter if you’re male or female; the stressful experience of losing hair affects us all in the same way, and those who suffer from it can often feel unattractive, have low self-esteem or lack confidence.

According to the American Hair Loss Association 80 million Americans, (men, women, and even children) experience some level of hair loss in their lifetime. Hair loss can be the result of medical conditions, diet, stress, hormones, and genes. Androgenetic alopecia, or male/female pattern baldness, is the culprit behind 95% of men’s hair loss cases and 40% of women’s. Unfortunately, this type of hair loss is genetic and impossible to prevent, but many men and women find relief in Hair Follicle Replication, also known as Scalp Micropigmentation.

Follicle Replication is non-surgical hair restoration treatment procedure and can be customized to create an incredibly natural look. We use a special machine as well as high quality, natural pigments that are formulated to be used specifically for the scalp. This ensures that you receive the best looking and longest lasting results.

American hair loss sufferers spend more than 3.5 billion dollars a year in an attempt to treat their hair loss. Most of the treatments available to manage some forms of hair loss usually involve transplants, using harsh chemicals or medications that have side effects, as well as ongoing treatment regimens, and surgery. These can all be very costly and even painful. According to the American Hair Loss Association, 99% of all other non-surgical hair restoration treatments such as medical/chemical/herbal products that are marketed to treat hair loss have been found to be ineffective for the majority of those who use them. Follicle replication, on the other hand, is comparatively inexpensive, virtually painless, and lasts a very long time without ongoing treatments.

Hair loss does not have to be what defines you or negatively impacts your self-esteem. Contact us for your free consultation to see if our restoration treatment is right for you.
