Areola Restoration With Paramedical Tattooing After a Mastectomy

Through Paramedical Tattooing procedures (Permanent Cosmetics, Micropigmentation), women (and men) who have undergone surgery for breast cancer, such as a mastectomy, can regain a sense of wholeness through Areola Restoration. Areola Restoration, Repigmentation, and Scar Camouflage are all procedures used today by Certified Permanent Cosmetics Artists to help create or improve the appearance of the areola and nipple.

Patients who have undergone a mastectomy can regain their figure through breast reconstruction. However, they may not feel “complete” without an areola. A woman may become emotionally distressed from not having areolas or scarred and mishappen areolas. Paramedical Tattooing procedures performed on the breast can provide the “finishing touch” after breast surgery. Patients feel the tattooing process helps them during the last part of their recovery to look complete and feel “whole” and “normal” again.

Areola Repigmentation:
This technique allows us to “create” an areola after mastectomy and breast reconstruction. The procedure helps to minimize the appearance of scars or restore an areola to a more natural-looking color and shape. We can re-create a 3D nipple and areola with custom-blended, and shadowing effects are used to create a natural look.

Areola Scar Camouflage:
Many breast operations require one or more incisions at or around the edge of the areola, which may produce scarring. The most common peri-areolar scars are from breast augmentation or reduction surgeries. A scar’s appearance can be softened, blended, or reduced by tattooing the areola scar using corrective pigment camouflage techniques.

Areola Size or Color Adjustment:
The color of an areola can be darkened, balanced, or enhanced with tattooing. The process helps women who have discolored or lightened areolas who have had areola graft surgery.

Areola Repigmentation, Restoration, and Scar Camouflage should only be performed by an experienced, Certified Permanent Cosmetic Artist who is also certified in Micropigmentation. Your Certified Permanent Cosmetic Artist will work with you to determine the best pigment colors that will match your skin tone and take careful measurements to ensure the correct size and symmetry of the areolas to create a natural, 3-Dimensional appearance.

Permanent Eyeshadow – Everything You Need To Know

Permanent eyeshadow is perhaps the most artistic practice of permanent eye makeup. Beautiful, natural-looking, multi-dimensional looks can be created to look just like natural eyeshadow. What makes permanent eyeshadow so fabulous is that, like other permanent makeup procedures, it cuts down on makeup application time, stays fresh and crisp looking day and night, and never smears or wears off. It’s waterproof, smudge-proof, and cry-proof – who doesn’t love that?

This highly advanced Permanent Makeup technique uses specialized patented needles and multiple shades of pigment to create a beautiful, natural eyelid enhancement. We use the latest state-of-the-art equipment and highest-grade pigments for all of our procedures. This ensures you receive the best-looking and longest-lasting permanent makeup results. We also offer endless pigment colors to choose from for your shadow, or we can create custom colors to design the perfect look for you!

Things to keep in mind before getting permanent eyeshadow.

There are more and more permanent makeup “technicians” popping up everywhere. Here at Fabulously Flawless, we use the word “technicians” very loosely because so many people performing permanent makeup are unlicensed and uncertified. Many have very little experience or hands-on classroom training. Frighteningly, we see clients on a weekly basis that drive from as far away as Tennessee, Virginia, and South Carolina to have their botched permanent makeup corrected and sometimes even removed. Before you choose a technician, MAKE SURE they are Certified Permanent Cosmetics Professionals and have certifications in micropigmentation as well as advanced training in permanent eyeshadow. Make sure they are licensed to perform these procedures. Check reviews and references and ask for their portfolio of work. It’s also a good idea to ask how many clients they have performed any given procedure on.

So remember, tattooing eyeshadow is a highly advanced form of permanent makeup and should never be attempted by someone who is not certified in this technique. In addition to proper training, the Professional Cosmetic Technician must use the right machine and needles set at a very low speed. Never allow a regular tattoo artist to perform any permanent makeup procedure, either. Don’t take chances with your beauty or health. Be sure to do your research before you undergo any procedure.
